Get crafty with this range of hands-on experiences
You might think signing up for a craft experience sounds like it's going to be a session involving sticky-backed plastic and cardboard loo rolls tubes in that typical Blue Peter craft corner kind of way. But on these crafty courses nothing could be further from the truth.Of course, a bit of imagination might always put you in good stead when it comes to designing what you're going to make, but it's not an obligation as great ideas will be bouncing around all the time. You'll be amazed with what you come up with!
No previous experience necessary for craft courses
And don't worry if you don't know your pinking sheers (you'll find those in your sewing box) from your lifting tongs (you'll find those in the forge). All of these workshops and coures assume you have zero previous experience. What's more, all the textiles, tools, base materials and equipment are all included, so all you have to bring along is a willingness to get stuck in and a desire to get crafty.Craft courses in everything from flower arranging to ice sculpting
As for what you'll be crafting, we've got a rather eclectic mix of experiences for you. One of the most satisfying is the flower arranging workshop. There's nothing worse than receiving a bunch of flowers and then making a right pig's ear of putting them in a vase, so imagine how wonderful it'd be to be able to mix foliage and flowers to come up with a stunning display that is sure to wow.Glass features quite heavily in our programme line-up, with courses to make blown glass, stained glass and fused glass too. You can even go right back to the 80s and make your very own neon sign. It's retro hip and very cool these days, as you can see from this Los Angeles Neon Light exhibition video!
Then there's jewellery. Perhaps you want to make the man in your life a very special pair of cufflinks? Or if you want to buy a present for the soon-to-be-married couple, how about the very unique gift of being able to work with a jeweller to make their own wedding rings? Very romantic indeed.
In fact, there are so many craft experiences we can't mention them all here, so we suggest you have a browse and see what's what. Whether you yearn to make your own blown glass vase, or quite fancy creating a unique neon artwork, we've got it all and at no point will anyone say 'And here's one I made earlier'!
