so, fforest is Welsh for forest and this all-season toboggan run is located within the pine trees at Betws-y-Coed. Although you see these clever coasters all over ski resorts and mountains in Europe, it's the only one of its kind here in the UK. Your 'sled' gets pulled up the hill on rails, then you're released to whizz down the track. Pull the levers up to slow down, push them forwards to go faster. It's a simple as that!

Yes you can! Zip World's installations are unique in that there are four lines set up in parallel, which are loaded and released simultaneously, so that means you will zipping along side-by-side to see who gets to the landing zone first! 

To actually ride the major attractions like Velocity 2 or Phoenix, you don't need a high level of physical fitness, as gravity does the work! However, you do need mobility to climb the launch platforms and stairs. Please read the 'Suitable For' tab for each activity for details on height restrictions, weight and fitness levels needed for zips and all other Zip World activities.

It depends on whether it's an indoor or an outdoor experience and what activity you'll be doing. For example, for the Quarry Karts full face helmet and overalls are included. In the Caverns the temperature is always between 6 and 8 degrees,  but you'll soon get hot bouncing around everywhere, so in every case, layering of casual/sports clothes is key. And sturdy shoes too!!

No. Due to the very active nature of the experiences, Zip World's policy is to not allow you to bring cameras with you. However, there are media packs available (pay locally on the day) to get HD images of you doing your experience, using high-quality equipment that has been tried and tested to be safe.

Think of Bounce Below as an underground trampoline park! Zip World has transformed six, vast, interconnnected slate caverns at the former Llechwedd Mine into a subterranean adventure world. Kitted out with massive trampoline-like nets, walkways and slides, often suspended high over the ground is just brilliant. And there's a funky lighting display too!

No worries! The good news is that attractions such as Bounce Below take place 500ft underground in a vast network of slate caverns, so rain will never stop play there. Zip line rides and other outdoor experiences will go ahead in inclement weather, unless organiser deem it too dangerous.

Both are thrilling zip rides and both are world record holders - albeit for different reasons! Velocity 2  at Penrhyn Quarry is the fastest zip line in the world and the longest in Europe, where you'll be launching off  head-first . Phoenix,  at Zip World Tower, is the world's fastest seated zip line and boasts the steepest drop in the Zip World range.
