Hangloose Adventure FAQs

Where are the Hangloose Adventure venues located?

Hangloose Adventure operates at the Eden Project in Bodelva near St Austell in Cornwall and at Bluewater in Greenhithe Kent, situated by the cliffs near The Village car park area of Bluewater Shopping Centre.

Can non-participating spectators come along to watch?

Yes! Spectators are welcome at both the Cornwall and Kent Hangloose Adventure sites. Both have designated viewing areas where friends and family can watch as you experience everything from wild water swimming to thrilling zip lines, taking photos and videos as you go!

Do non-participating spectators need a ticket?

Nope! Access to both Hangloose Eden Project and Bluewater is free. Of course, if you want to visit the Eden Project biomes and gardens, you can buy an entry ticket to explore.

How high & fast are the ziplines?

Here are the Hangloose zip wire stats:

Eden Project 'Skywire' - 660 metres long, launch height of 90 metres and high speed up to 60 mph
Bluewater 'Skywire' - 724 metres long, launch height of 56 metres and high speed up to 50 mph

What position are you in when you ride the zip lines?

On both 'Skywire' rides you fly head first, lying on your stomach safely hooked up with your chest harness. This 'Superman style' means you're aerodynamic giving maximum speed down the wire for a full-thrills zip line ride!

What are the age, height and weight restrictions for Hangloose experiences?

For the aerial activities the minimum age is generally 8 years old, with a minimum age of 7 for the Bluewater Aqua Park. Skywire minimum weights are between 30 and 35kg, with a 120kg maximum. Activities generally have a minimum height of 1.2 metres.

Do children need to be accompanied by an adult?

Most activities can be done by under 16s with an adult supervising on the shore/on the ground. Others may require a participating adult for younger children. Please check the full details on each Hangloose product page, or contact Into The Blue by chat, email or phone for more help.

what happens if it rains on the day of my Hangloose experience?

Hangloose operates in most weathers, including rain. If the weather is deemed too extreme (eg thunder storms, high winds) activities will generally be paused or rescheduled.

What facilities are there at Hangloose?

As well as free parking and spectator viewing areas, there are changing rooms, showers, toilets and lockers for personal effects. Bluewater Hangloose has a pontoon area at the lake shore too.

Is parking available at both Hangloose locations?

Yes! Both venues boast ample, free parking. At Bluewater Shopping Centre car parks 2 and 3 are closest to the Hangloose Adventure centre. At the Eden Project there's large, free car parks for all visitors, just park up and follow the pedestrian directions to Hangloose.

Do I need an Eden Project admission ticket to visit Hangloose Cornwall?

No. You don't need to buy an Eden Project ticket to participate in a Hangloose Adventure activity. Hangloose has its own separate entrance and reception desk.
