Take a break from the routine with a fun day out

When life is one long round of school, work, sleep, eat, there's nothing like having a few excursions planned to lift spirits. Having a little day out or an excursion to look forward too is great and it's even better if it has all been organised in advance for you and you just have to turn up!

That's why we have done all the leg-work for your and put together this collection of days that come to you as 'off the shelf' vouchers. You can spend a day at places all over the UK getting in a bit of culture, visiting some iconic locations as seen on TV and film, witnessing a new stage show, or having a laugh at a comedy night to name but a handful of the ideas we've put together.

Great value off-peak days out

Of course, many events take place at the weekend, but if you are looking for days out mid-week we have loads of those too - and often they can be excellent value for money as they are considered 'off-peak'. For example, if you're off work, a day out in London on a Monday is the perfect day to take a flight on the London Eye, browse the shops and enjoy a nice meal, when it's far less busy.

Days out with the kids in tow

If you're looking for ideas for keeping the kids entertained during the school holidays we've got some suggestions that'll captivate, motivate and entertain the little ones. Whether it's wandering around the Harry Potter film studios, visiting lovely Edinburgh Castle, or a TOWIE tour that's perfect for die-hard fans of the Essex-based TV show, there's something for all children and their parents to enjoy together.

Culture-vultures will love our programme of events and shows. We've got big stage productions and even historical walking tours where you can go beyond the well-trodden tourist trail for a day discovering the ins and outs of the hidden parts of the city.

One of our favourites for balmy summer evenings has to be going to an outdoor musical extravaganza. Take a look at this Summer Proms concert footage and see how uplifting it all is!

Sporting fans are certainly not forgotten either. If your game is rugby, a tour of Twickenham, the home of English rugby, is sure to delight as much as watching their favourite team score a try. And over in Wimbledon, you'll be serving an ace if you buy them a tour of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club.

We think these excursions will open your eyes to what the UK and Europe has to offer, with some truly fascinating and highly memorable days out for adults, kids, couples and families to enjoy.
