What Can I Expect
Zip World underground golf - where wearing a helmet is par for the course! Play 18 holes of mini golf deep down in the former slate caverns of Llechwedd in North Wales.
This is adventure golf with an extra twist - Zip World has created the world’s deepest mini golf. It’s very much industrial chic with cool lighting and lots of interactive elements too (selfie alert!).
And as if you needed any more convincing that this isn’t your typical crazy golf, your experience starts with a short ride on the little yellow cableway train to take you deep underground!
A Zip World guide will then be waiting to lead you through the caverns and caves to the golf. (Don’t worry, there are no small or confined spaces). With your helmet on, your fluro golf ball in hand and your putter, it’s time to take on the 18 holes.
The full course, which is set out over four storeys, will take you around 1.5 hours to complete and is suitable for anyone from the age of 3 years old. And after the 18th, there’s a special treat for you - the Drop Slide!
Having perfected your putting, sunk some underground holes in one and conquered the slide (if you fancy it!) it’s time to hop aboard the cableway back to the surface.
Then why not head to the on-site Llechwedd Caffi for a drink and to tally up the score cards to see who is your Zip World underground golf champion and celebrate the day you played golf in an actual former slate mine in Wales!

- Due to the nature of this adventure, everyone must be able to walk and be physically fit. Babe in arms are not permitted
