What Can I Expect
Dare to do ‘The Drop’ - awesome abseiling at the Cardiff Stadium! Terrifyingly brilliant, this experience will see you abseil the 30m down from the viewing platform walkway on the roof of Wale’s national stadium.
What goes up must come down, as they say. You will be the one climbing up the staircases and walkways to go straight to the purpose-built viewing platform connected to one of the famous white ‘spires’.
Before the abseil down, take a moment to appreciate those views over the River Taff, across the hills and along the south Wales coastline. All pretty impressive and very photogenic, but now it’s time to get back down to the ground in the best way possible…
Already kitted up in your abseiling harness, your instructor will explain everything to you, talking you through what will happen and what you need to do. And before you know it, you’ll be standing with your feet on the edge of the Cardiff Stadium, 30 metres above the ground…
Sit back in your harness and when you’re comfortable, you step back. We think this is the scariest bit, but once you are on the move, the fear is gone and you’ll really start to enjoy your descent.
By the time you’ve got both feet back on the ground and an instructor is helping you out of your harness, you’ll have loved abseiling down the famous Cardiff Stadium so much you’ll want to do it all over again!
We highly recommend buying a ‘The Drop’ voucher with a Cardiff Stadium Roof Walk voucher, as the two experiences can be combined, giving you a walk across the roof and the abseil down as your finale!

Suitable For
- 1 participating adult 18+ is required for every 5 children under 18
- Height restrictions: minimum 1.25m
- Weight restrictions: minimum 30kg, maximum 130kg
- Participants must have a waist measurement of 120cm or less and an upper thigh measurement of 65cm or less
- Due to the nature of this adventure, everyone must be able to walk and be physically fit. Babe in arms are not permitted

- No loose items are permitted on this adventure. Phones, cameras, and other unsecured objects must be safely stored before taking part
