What Can I Expect

Scale the heights on a Cardiff Stadium Walk! This is your chance to climb up and over the roof of Wales’s national stadium on this thrilling guided experience.

The Principality Stadium is iconic. From international rugby and football, to world-class entertainment, the impressive 75,000-seater stadium has seen it all. On this roof walk you’ll get to see what the view is like from the top of the stadium.

Your experience starts with check in and getting kitted out in a harness, followed by a briefing on how the safety system works. Then comes the workout. There are around 200 steps to access the stadium roof - but the views over Cardiff and beyond are SO worth it!

Having conquered the steps, you’ll head over the westside walkway towards the Arch, which is the backbone of the Principality Stadium’s famous design. Moving across to the Spire (one of four that rise up to 90 metres into the sky), you will then pause at the viewing platform at 35 metres above the ground.

This is the moment to drink in the sweeping panoramic views over the Welsh capital and towards Bannau Brycheiniog (the Brecon Beacons) with the River Taff below you. Just stunning!

And of course, there’s the stadium itself. If the retractable roof is open when you do your walk, you’ll be treated to bird’s eye views of the inside, with rows upon rows of seats in the steep-sided grandstands.

Selfies done, it’s time to follow your host, who will guide you back down along the stadium edge back to ground level and the Zip World base, where you’ll de-kit. Now’s the moment to congratulate yourself - scaling Cardiff stadium on a roof walk experience is quite an achievement!

• Dates and session times are subject to availability

Suitable For

• 1 participating adult 18 yrs+ is required for every 5 children under 18
• Minimum height 1.25m
• Maximum weight 130kg
• Due to the nature of this adventure, everyone must be able to walk and be physically fit. Babes in arms are not permitted
• Participants must have a waist measurement of 120cm or less and an upper thigh measurement of 65cm or less

Anything Else

• No loose items are permitted on this adventure. Phones, cameras, and other unsecured objects must be safely stored before taking part
• Please note it cannot be guaranteed that the roof will be open during your experience
