What Can I Expect

Filled to the brim with classic one-liners, this is the Only Fools and Horses Tour! Contrary to popular belief, this much-loved British sit-com wasn't filmed in the Trotter family's beloved Peckham at all. Many scenes were shot on location in Bristol and this is where your three and half hours bus and walking tour takes place.

Written by super-wit John Sullivan, Only Fools and Horses was a instant hit from the moment it was first screened in 1981. Witnessing their capers and sticky situations, Del Boy, played by David Jason and his younger brother Rodney, played by Nicholas Lyndhurst, had us all in stitches from the first line of the script. These guided tours take you behind the scenes of Only Fools and Horses in and around Bristol by bus, with a 30-minute walk around the city centre too.

The Trotters lived in a flat filled with bootleg gear on the 12th floor of Nelson Mandela tower. From the sixth series onwards, this was a tower block in Bristol. Then there was Boyce's car dealership. And the Trotter's lock up garage. Not forgetting the Nag's Head pub they often frequented and Sid's Cafe too. You'll see all these on your three-hour tour of the Bristol area.

No-one could forget the legendary scene where Del Boy and Rodders break down in the Reliant Robin when they happen to be dressed as Batman and Robin. In true slapstick style, they end up chasing a town councillor's would be muggers down the street. This was actually filmed over three different locations in Bristol and Bedminster.

This tour brings back loads of excellent moments from this iconic TV show. Who could forget the scene in the episode 'Yuppy Love' where Del Boy falls through the open bar flap in a trendy wine bar? The interior scenes were filmed in a studio. But the exterior? That was a cool bar in Bristol.

Leading your Only Fools and Horses tour will be a show super fan. They'll have all the insider knowledge on the filming of the sitcom and lots of trivia too. And just because we can, let's finish with a couple of Only Fools and Horses classic quips and wisecracks. Do business the Del Boy way: 'Come on Rodney, I've told you before, it's everything between you me split straight down the middle, 600-40'. And don't forget that famous saying: 'Viva la France as they say in Rome'!
