What Can I Expect

Time for the teens to take to the trails on a junior 4x4 experience in Nottinghamshire! Designed just for kids, these lessons will see youngsters tackling off road tracks in a funky off-road vehicle.

These junior 4x4 days take place at a well-established activity centre at Lockwell Hill, on the main road between Mansfield and Newark. This lucky lot has  over 50 acres of tracks and land to play with, so there's plenty of space to have fun in the Land Rover 4x4s.

This venue is a great place for teens. Renowned for its professional off road training courses, it's really cool that this Nottinghamshire venue also caters for younger drivers with their bespoke junior 4x4 sessions.

And of course, as these events are all on private off road land, there's no need for a licence or even any driving experience. As long as they're 12 to 17 years old and the minimum height requirement of 1m 40 is met, they can 4x4!

All lessons are on a one-to-one basis, so there's no anxious waiting around and each experience is bespoke to the driver. It might be that your little motorist loves weaving in and out of the cones, or perhaps it's all about tackling some of the small hills that have been purpose-built for the younger offroaders.

What's more, each child can invite one adult to join them in the 4x4, so Mum, Dad, Granny, Grandad or big bro or sis can ride as passenger. Oh and no backseat-driver comments though please, this is all about letting the teens be in control!

By the end of their junior 4x4 session at this centre near Nottingham they're sure to jump out of the Landy with a huge smile on their face. And we're sure you'll be feeling very proud of them, even if you were the one getting bumped and bounced around in the back seat while they drove!

• Suitable for juniors aged between 12-17
• Minimum height 140cms
• All juniors must be accompanied on site by and adult

Spectators

• Spectators are welcome, although due to the nature of this activity viewing is limited

Anything Else

• There is a snack bar on site serving hot and cold drinks and food
• Suitable outdoor clothing and footwear should be worn
• Both manual and automatic vehicles are available
