What Can I Expect

This balloon operator has various take off sites around the Bristol area which can be used for your flight. The key one is Ashton Court Estate, which is the regular home to the famous Bristol Balloon Fiesta. This wonderful country estate is just a few miles south-west of Bristol city centre.

So where will you fly on your Bristol balloon ride? Well, that all depends where the wind takes you! Just like the landing site is never sure before you take off, your route is governed by the wind and the wind speed. But you are sure to see lots of notable landmarks and places.

A highlight for many is the Clifton Suspension Bridge. Brunel’s magnificent bridge spans the River Avon and the gorge, connecting Clifton Downs to Leigh Woods. The bridge is a veritable icon of the Bristol area, so getting the chance to see it from high above in a balloon would be wonderful!

From local Bristol landmarks, to far reaching views towards the Chew Valley and Wales, a balloon flight from any of the launch sites in and around Bristol is going to be pure joy.

We are offering vouchers for small group flights, with a maximum of eight passengers in the balloon basket. All guests are welcome to assist with the setting up of the balloon and the packing away (it’s a great chance to learn more about ballooning!) and in total, expect your whole experience to take between three and four hours.

Availability

• Weekdays and weekends throughout the year
• During summer months evening flights are generally scheduled on weekdays with morning and evening flights available on weekends
• Winter flying can be more restricted due to unsettled weather conditions
• Meet just after sunrise (can be pretty early mid summer!) or a few hours before sunset. Timings change as the length of the day changes

Suitable For

• Minimum age 6
• Under 15 must be accompanied by a participating adult
• Minimum height 4ft
• Please advise if any passengers are over 17st (108kg)
• Participants must have a good level of fitness and be agile enough to get in and out of the basket

Anything Else

• Suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear should be worn
