What Can I Expect

‘Big Flo', as she's known to this Hykeham team, has a very long and colourful history. Starting as a passenger plane for TWA, she then flew many miles as air cargo transport for the likes of DHL, before a stint as a movie aeroplane. She actually starred in a Bond movie stunt, but the scene never made it to the big screen.

Now sitting proudly in her home just outside Lincoln city centre, Big Flo welcomes all aviators, from pros on jet orientation courses and airline assessment preparations, to novices who are keen to ‘give it a go'

And we have to say, being fully-enclosed, it really is totally immersive. You will have exclusive access to the flight deck for the duration of your experience and it'll be you in the captain's seat, with an instructor alongside to talk you through your role as pilot of a Boeing 737NG.

Whether it's doing a final approach into Heathrow, handling a take off and landing scenario in St Maarten, or flying a whole sector from A to Z, it's going to be lots of fun on your sim session.

• Under 16s must be accompanied by a spectating adult
• Participants must have a good, general level of fitness
• Not suitable for those with heart, back or neck problems, motion sickness or other conditions that may be aggravated by the simulator

Spectators

• Participants are permitted to bring one guest to observe their flight experience
• Guests can watch from behind the captain's seat in the cockpit of the simulator
• Other guests are welcome to wait in the reception area for the participant to complete the flight
