What Can I Expect
Have fun riding the water when you go tubing in Galloway! Choose either river tubing or white water tubing on the River Dee in the heart of Dumfries & Galloway and make a right splash.
If you’ve never done tubing before, it’s a right hoot. You will be sitting in a rigid inflatable ring, riding the waters, getting wet and most likely hollering with delight. Yep, it’s that sport of watersport.
And of course, you’ll be kitted out in a full wetsuit (this is Scotland after all!) and there’s a full safety briefing before you launch yourself on the flowing waters of the River Dee, which winds itself through Galloway.
If it’s your first time, we recommend the river tubing option, as the waters aren’t too fast flowing. It’s still a lot of fun and there’s plenty to keep everyone happy, but it is the one to go for if you’re not quite so adventurous.
And indeed, the white water tubing is exactly that. You, hurtling down the white rapids, being bounced all over the place. It's a full throttle tubing adventure that’ll have you hanging onto your tube for dear life, whilst getting seriously wet!
Group sizes for these tubing adventures in Galloway are kept small (maximum eight tubers at once) so they are ideal for families and groups of friends who want to try this exhilarating watersport together.
