What Can I Expect

Spend time at Torview Wines in Devon visiting the vineyards, the winery and enjoying a tasting too at this wonderful, family-run wine estate.

Torview sits between the tors of Dartmoor (hence the name!) and the Hartland Devon Heritage Coast. Owner Tim and his family planted their first vines here in 2007 and with much love, care and hard work, they are now producing award-winning Devonshire wines.

These tour and tasting experiences will see you exploring the vineyards planted with Pinot Noir, Dornfelder, Rondo and Acolon varieties of grapes. Your knowledgeable guide will give you a real first-hand insight into what growing grapes is all about.

You’ll then move on to the winery at Torview, where you’ll see how those very grapes are transformed into delicious white, red, rosé and sparkling wines. After that, it's tasting time, where you will sample three of the Torview wine collection.

Thanks to those Dartmoor tors, the vineyard benefits from a microclimate, meaning lots of sunshine and not much rain, which makes for happy grapes, resulting in soft, fruity and easy-to-drink wines.

Tastings and tours at Torview Wines last around 90-minutes and you’ll have plenty of time to relax in and around the vineyard too. The warm, family welcome, the enthusiasm, sense of humour and passion of this family-run winery is a true delight to experience for yourself!
