What Can I Expect

Chocks away for your Tiger Moth flight over Yorkshire! Experience the ultimate in vintage biplane flying as you soar over God’s Own Country on an extended 75 to 90-minute flight experience from Sherburn Aerodrome near Leeds.

The Tiger Moth is an iconic aeroplane. Simple, noisy and completely hands-on to fly, the de Havilland Tiger Moth has been loved by generations of pilots, ever since she became the RAF pilot trainer of choice in the 1930s.

And then there’s Yorkshire. It’s the perfect backdrop for your Moth fight out of Sherburn. The proximity to the Yorkshire Dales, Moors and historic estates provides striking visual landmarks as you fly on by on your extended tour.

What’s more, on these Ultimate Yorkshire flights, you will sit down with your pilot and plan your route. Head north and see Castle Howard and the likes of Fountains Abbey, or maybe go eastwards to fly over Pontefract’s fortress and historic RAF Rufforth and Church Fenton.

Taking the Moth on a southerly heading from Sherburn takes you by Wentworth Woodhouse, Nostell National Trust and the Pennine town of Holmfirth. Flying west, you could soon be in Bronte country over Haworth, before cruising towards Skipton, the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales.
