What Can I Expect
Target Sports at The Swinton Estate! It is time to sharpen your focus and test your aim in the heart of North Yorkshire.
Set within the breathtaking Nidderdale landscape, the Swinton Estate Activity Centre offers a tranquil yet thrilling backdrop for your day. You will find serene parklands and quiet lakes surrounding you as you prepare for your chosen challenges.
Whether you fancy yourself as a traditional archer or want to try something modern, there is plenty to choose from. You can pick one, two, or three activity sessions from a line-up that includes Archery, Crossbows, and Axe Throwing. For those who like a bit of technology, Laser Clay Pigeon Shooting is a great way to compete without the kickback of a shotgun. Each sport is designed to help you build confidence and master the art of hitting the mark.
Beyond the target range, your voucher gives you full-day access to the magnificent castle grounds. This is a wonderful opportunity for a day of discovery and well-being in a historic setting. Take your time to explore the trails and gardens after you have finished your activity session. It is the perfect way to wind down after the excitement of the competition.
Spectators are more than welcome to join you at the estate for the day. They can relax with a coffee and enjoy the beautiful views while they watch you take aim.

Suitable For
- Archery: Minimum age 7 years
- Axe Throwing, Crossbows & Laser Clay Pigeon Shooting: Minimum age 12 years
- All participants should wear comfortable, flexible clothing, avoid loose sleeves, and wear closed-toe shoes
Spectators
- Spectators are welcome to watch
- Dogs are welcome. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and your dogs must be well-behaved and friendly towards people and other dogs
Anything Else
- Sessions for Archery, Axe Throwing and Crossbows will go ahead in most weather conditions, but extreme weather may lead to rescheduling for safety reasons
- Laser Clay Pigeon Shooting cannot go ahead in the rain. In the event of this you can either reschedule your booking or find an alternative activity to enjoy
- Parking is available on site
