Glamping Pods Tavistock

It's cuteness in the countryside when you go glamping in Tavistock! These brilliant little individual wooden pods at Woodovis Park are dry and cosy, with double glazing, lockable French doors and electric heating, so you will be nice and snug, whilst keeping the creepy crawlies you might well associate with traditional camping at bay.

We are offering one and two night breaks in both the standard (which sleep two adults) and the super pods (for up to four people) hidden in the heart of this estate near Tavistock. Both pod types boast all those mod cons we secretly love when it comes to camping and give you access to all the park's facilities too.

As well as all the usual things like showers, dishwashing areas and washing machines, Woodovis is a park that goes one step further, with the likes of touchscreen tourist information screens, the wonderfully eccentric 'walks booth' crammed with maps and itinerary suggestions and even special activities at peak season ranging from circus skills and archery to story telling sessions.

Indeed, if you go with the kids, they will love the children's play park and all ages will adore the heated indoor swimming pool. And for that extra glamping touch, Woodovis even offers a rather swish little spa area with a jacuzzi - now that's what we call camping in style!

But back to your pods, where those double glazed French doors lead out onto a small porch and decked area. What can be better than waking up after a lovely lie in to the stillness and quietness surrounding you and then tucking in to a freshly-baked tasty croissant and a nice cup of tea as you take in the view? We think even just one or two nights at this holiday park on the edge of Dartmoor will do you the world of good.

To get glamping at Tavistock's finest park, you just need to bring all your usual camping gear, except you can leave your bed, table and chairs and tent at home. You can make use of the site shop and bakery (don't miss the delicious fresh patisseries each morning!), or the excellent Copper Penny local pub serving tasty food and there's even a fish and chip van that visits weekly in season, so if you don't fancy cooking you don't have to at Woodovis!
