What Can I Expect
Experience the Skyleader 400 at Beccles Airfield! This friendly flying school on the Suffolk/Norfolk border is the only place in the UK offering trial flights in this ultra-stylish, low-wing, sports aircraft, so it’s an Into The Blue exclusive!
The Czech-built Skyleader JA 400 is the aircraft equivalent of a punchy sports car like a Lotus or Caterham. The sports Skyleader is fast (it’ll cruise easily at 100 knots), coupled with light, responsive handling and sporty feedback.
It even has funky gull-wing doors and race-style leather seats, to go with the plane's livery, which is as bold as it is characterful. Combine that with a panoramic canopy, full onboard avionics (including Auto Pilot!) and impressive short take off and landing capabilities and you’ve got yourself a great plane in the Skyleader.
These 60 and 90-minute lessons from Beccles Airfield will show you just what this sport aircraft can do. And with the side-by-side seating you’ll see everything the instructor pilot is doing, which is handy as, if you’re up for it, you’ll be invited to have a go at the controls during your experience!
With an excellent range, the Skyleader effortlessly speeds through the unrestricted air space over Suffolk and Norfolk. With so much joy to be had, we call it the ‘grin generator’. So, if you’re looking for a unique flying experience, this is the only place in the UK offering flying lessons in the Skyleader JA 400!
