What Can I Expect

Learn about racecraft on a race track experience! Available at a full range of tracks and circuits around the UK, this is your chance to channel your inner Lewis Hamilton and be taught how to hit that racing line sweet spot.

We are offering half-day race track tuition (which equates to around 30-miles of driving), during which time you'll be given one-to-one tuition from an expert racing driver on how to drive a fast car around a race track-style set up.

Tuition is at a variety of tracks around the country. Some are airfield coned courses, some are smooth tarmac tracks and others are high performance professional race circuits. Wherever you choose to go, it's going to be an intense half-day of instruction with the aim of learning lots about track craft.

Obviously you'll need a suitable car for the job, so expect something cool, funky and very, very light on its feet like the Caterham. This low-down sportster is a proper ripper of a car that loves nothing more than being flung around a circuit at speed. Have you got what it takes to show this pocket rocket the way?

Although this experience is not an actual race, you'll be learning and practicing the racing techniques with the aim of reducing your times with every lap. The holy grail of track racing is hitting the racing line, that's to say the shortest, quickest path around the course. Think brake point, turn in, apex and exit. Get this right in motor racing and you'd be well on the way to a podium finish.

Of course, race craft is not as easy as it sounds. Professional racing drivers practice, practice and practice some more in the hope of shaving a hundredth of a second off their lap time, as every millisecond counts. Luckily for you, you'll have a skilled instructor sitting in the passenger seat next to you, ready to impart their pearls of wisdom on how to hit that racing line spot on.

By the end of your half-day race track experience you'll be feeling pretty confident behind the wheel of your race-prepped car. With any luck, you'll be smoothly guiding the car through the chicanes and hairpins to post some impressive lap times.
