What Can I Expect
Fixed-wing microlighting in Hull! Enjoy a 30, 60 or 90-minute flight in a modern, closed-cockpit microlight from the lovely Beverley Airfield near Leven village and take in panoramic views over the East Ridings as you fly.
These experiences are hosted by the Hull Aero Club, which was founded in 1930 and has been flying out of Beverley Airfield since 1991. It’s regarded as one of the friendliest clubs in the country and you always get a warm welcome in the clubhouse where the pilots meet.
All flights are operated by an Ikarus C42. These microlights have enclosed cockpits and look very much like your typical light aircraft, so you’re flying in comfort, protected from the elements. The C42 is a great plane to fly - agile, reliable and fun.
The plane is dual control and you sit side-by-side with your instructor, so if you’re up for it you will be invited to take the controls at some point during your flight. All experiences are treated as lessons and all teaching is geared to you.
Of course, if you’d prefer to sit back and take in the scenery, you are very welcome to do so. As you might know, this part of the country is where the River Hull joins the Humber Estuary and a microlight is the perfect way to take to the skies for some truly spectacular bird's-eye coastal views.
