The celebrated design house Pininfarina (who has designed everything from the Ferrari 308 and Peugeot 205, to Swiss high-speed intercity trains and Learjets) is behind the styling of the Gran Turismo and it shows. Sleek and beautiful, you are likely to enjoy admiring the sumptuous interior and bodywork as much as you will driving the car around the circuit.

An integral part of the design is the distinctive Maserati logo. It's a trident; a three-pronged spear. But where did the inspiration come from? You'll find the answer in Maserati's home town of Bologna in the Piazza Maggiore, where the famous statue of Neptune on the fountain is holding a trident, just like the one that features on the grille of every Maserati.

Indeed, the Gran Turismo totally embodies Maserati's motto of "Excellence through passion". Its sonorous 4.2l V8 engine is unmistakable and you'll feel like you're cruising the sun-kissed streets of Portofino when you drive a Maserati. They are just so utterly gorgeous.
