What Can I Expect
Introducing Lemur experiences in East Sussex! Lemurs. Quite possibly the most underrated primates, these adorable creatures are sociable, inquisitive and fun to be around. Here’s your chance to meet them.
Taking place at the Knockhatch Adventure Park near Hailsham, these 30-minute ‘meet and greets’ are suitable for anyone eight years or over. Hosted by expert animal keepers, you’ll be invited behind the scenes to discover this gorgeous Lemur family.
Lemurs are social little beings, living as ‘troops’ with all generations together. Family life as a Ring-tailed Lemur is as vibrant and chaotic as you’d imagine, with cheeky youngsters, the wise elders and exhausted new parents.
What we love most is their facial expressions and how vocal they are. There’s a lot of chatter amongst the troop, especially when it’s feeding time!
The keepers will tell you all you need to know about Lemurs; from the tricks they use to keep the group together, to what they (as herbivores) like to eat. What’s more, you will have the opportunity to feed the Lemurs too as part of your experience.
We are offering vouchers for one or two of you to join a shared group Lemur experience. All voucher holders get free entrance to Knockhatch Adventure Park, with rides, waterslides, play barns, activities and places to eat. A great day out in East Sussex for all the family!
When Is It Available

Suitable For
- Minimum age: 8 years
- Participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. If the accompanying adult is not participating, an entry fee will be required on the day
- Please note: this experience is not suitable for wheelchair access
Spectators
- Spectators are required to pay a supplement to enter the park, payable either when booking or on the day of your visit
- Guests are asked to remain outside the lemur enclosure
- Only guide dogs are permitted on site
- Ample free parking is available, along with a variety of cafes and restaurants nearby
- Picnics are welcome, with outdoor picnic tables provided
Anything Else
- Fully enclosed shoes, long trousers, and a long-sleeved top are required
- Guests will have the opportunity to take photographs of the participant throughout the experience
