What's Included

What Can I Expect

Calling all kids - the junior tank driving in Scotland experiences are just for you! Youngsters aged between 9 and 16 years will love the chance to drive a fully-tracked tank around the Scottish countryside.

The tank is proper, ex- British Army. Whilst it was in service, this Armoured Personnel Carrier would have been busy transporting soldiers, kit and all sorts around battlefields and training zones anywhere in the world.

Just getting to go inside one of these tanks is amazing, so imagine the look on your child's face when they realise they will actually be driving the thing too! It's all made possible as this Scottish team has adapted the driving position for younger ones. And, of course, the instructors have the ability to override the controls, so it's all safe and good!

Vouchers are valid at either Bridge of Weir in Renfrewshire, or Stirling. It's up to you which location you pick. Both offer excellent rugged terrain and lots of water (we're in Scotland after all!), so there are plenty of challenges to tackle in the tank.

Every driver will get a full briefing. The team will give clear instructions on how to steer the FV432, where the accelerator is and most importantly where the brakes are. These APCs are great fun to drive and the kids will have a ball.

What's more, if you, the grown-ups, are feeling brave (or reckless?) up to two guests per child-driver can ride in the crew compartment. It's quite an experience and nothing like your home comforts and gadgets of the family car, but it's got to be done!

  • Tank rides are available for £10 per person, payable on the day and subject to availability
