Shared Experience

  • You will form part of a group of up to 3 participants sharing the drive time
  • You will ride as a passenger when not driving

Exclusive Session

  • Just you and the instructor for the duration of your session
  • The session is based on 1 to 1 tuition
  • Up to two guests may share the drive time with you or join you as a passenger, if required
  • Allow 1.5 hours for this experience

What Can I Expect

Introducing the INEOS Grenadier! This driving experience lets you test this new-to-the-market off roader on acres of private land near West Malling in Kent. You can choose a private one-to-one drive, or join a shared group experience.

The INEOS Grenadier. It looks kind of familiar doesn’t it? This impressive 4x4 is the pet project of INEOS chairman Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who thought it was a shame when the iconic Land Rover Defender ceased production in 2016.

Billionaire Ratcliffe wanted to produce a worthy replacement to the Land Rover Defender. The car’s designer Toby Ecuyer summed it up when he said : “ Let’s build a better one, something that doesn’t leak and is comfortable. After all, this isn’t 1948. We can move on.”

And we think he’s done it with the Grenadier. It certainly looks the part. Boxy and rugged, the Grenadier stands proud, giving off those classic off road vibes of being an utterly dependable vehicle on tricky terrain.

This driving experience lets you test the INEOS Grenadier for yourself. The terrain at this Mid-Kent driving centre near West Malling is the perfect proving ground. It covers over 200 acres, with undulating tracks criss-crossing over fields and through woodland. You need a car just like the Grenadier to get you through it all!

You can either be part of a small group, taking it in turns at the wheel over three hours - and when you’re not driving you’re in the (very comfy) passenger seats. The private experience gives you a 1.5-hour slot with the Grenadier that is exclusive to you.

Suitable For

  • Minimum age is 11 for the exclusive experience and 16 years old for the shared experience
  • If you are extraordinarily tall or short or feel your physique may impair your enjoyment of this activity in any way please check with the centre when booking
  • The maximum weight is 20 stone

Spectators

  • Spectators are welcome, but these activities are not good for spectating as views over the 4x4 driving areas are limited
  • No dogs allowed on site
  • The venue has a pleasant indoor meeting space with a vending machine, toilets and changing area
  • You are welcome to bring a packed lunch with you and in summer picnic tables are provided outside
  • There is a good range of pubs, cafes and restaurants in the town nearby and a good range of accommodation close at hand and the operator will be pleased to recommend places to suit different budgets

Anything Else

  • Please wear comfortable casual clothing and footwear that you do not mind getting dirty
  • In wet weather a change of clothes is advisable
