What Can I Expect

Get kitted up for this firefighter experience in Hertfordshire! This fully immersive session will give you a totally hands-on insight into the UK Fire and Rescue service, as you crew the Dennis Sabre fire appliance on a simulated mission. 

Your ‘Emergency call out’ will be at the London Motor Circuit, where you’ll get ‘a shout’ that a car is on fire. Suited and booted and carrying your helmet like a proper firefighter, you’ll jump into the Dennis Sabre fire engine to attend the incident.

Lights on, sirens on, you'll either drive this behemoth of a vehicle or you’ll be in the crew seats ready to deal with an emergency situation. And this Dennis is certainly well-equipped, with material such as ladders, winches, hoses and pumps with a colossal 2700 litre-per-minute capacity.

Each of you will have a role to play, from the hose operator (harder than it looks!), to the search and rescue coordinator triaging possible ‘casualties’ at the scene. You will rotate roles and the aim is to put the (simulated) car fire out and make the scene safe.

If you’ve ever wondered what life as a firefighter would be like, these group experiences are a great way to see for yourself first-hand, as you get to drive and crew the much-respected and brilliant Dennis appliance in an authentic car fire rescue mission that's quite the adrenaline rush!

Suitable For

• Minimum age 11 years / Maximum age 85 years
• Minimum height 4ft 8in / Maximum height 6ft 2in
• Maximum weight 18 stone / 114.30kg
• Under 18's must have parental / guardian permission
• Participants must be physically fit with no serious health conditions
• Due to the practical and physical nature of this experience, all participants must be able bodied and able to understand and follow verbal instructions
• Please be aware that this experience involves artificial smoke effects, real flames,  tripping hazards and other similar risks

Spectators

• Friends and family are welcome to come along and watch

Anything Else

• Drivers will need to sign a form accepting risk and vehicle damage liability of up to £10,000+VAT.  Alternatively damage liability reduction is available to purchase on the day starting from £27
• It is recommended that you wear casual clothing, and please remember to bring long socks to wear with the fire boots
• Optional on-site media team to capture photos/video of your experience at an additional charge payable on the day
• Glasses must be worn if needed
• Flat-soled shoes must be worn
