What Can I Expect
Join us on the Great British Sports Cars factory tour! A thoroughly fascinating insight into a truly independent, British sports car design, manufacturing and engineering company based in the North Nottinghamshire countryside.
Meet the Zero. This two-seater, open-cockpit, low-slung, ultra-lightweight sports car certainly has the silhouette of a Lotus 7, but most definitely has its own personality and identity. With a kerb weight of just 600kg, the naturally-aspirated, manual Zero has attracted a lot of attention since successfully launching in 2007.
Deservedly taking up and maintaining its position in the competitive factory-built / self-built sports car market, the Zero by GBS is a fantastic car to take out for a weekend spin to blow those dull commute cobwebs away!
But the Zero is not the only string to the Great British Sports Cars’ bow. With a highly-skilled team, the company prides itself on designing and making many of the parts from scratch in-house. These skills are so sought after that the company takes on bespoke, low-number and prototype commissions for the wider motor industry too.
Drawing on these skills is what sets the Great British Sports Cars Ltd apart. As director Richard says, they take ‘the best elements of the past, combining them with the most up-to-date design and modern manufacturing processes’.
You will meet Richard or one his team, as these wonderful factory tours are guided and hosted by the staff, so you too can hear the story of Great British Sports Cars and go behind the scenes visiting the entire design and manufacturing process, from the design room to the engineering machine shop.

- Visitors will be on their feet for the duration of the guided tour (approx 2 hours), however there are seating areas located at the start and finish of the tour
- No photographs to be taken on the tour. (If you wish to take photographs then please ask your tour guide)
