What Can I Expect

This Slingsby T67C Firefly (to give this little plane its full name!) is lovely to fly in. Pilots would agree when we say the Firefly has ‘fantastic visibility, great responsiveness and the perfect panel layout’.
And that also explains why the Firefly is a popular trainer aircraft for learning aerobatics in, which is exactly what you’ll be experiencing on this fab flight out of Blackbushe.
Your pilot instructor will handle the take off. They will then show you some basic aerobatic moves and, depending on your reaction, push the Firefly to execute trickier manoeuvres. At this point you might be wondering where the sky and ground meet, as you twist and turn in the air!
Having been shown what the Firefly can do in those open skies above Blackbushe, it’s over to you. If you’re up for it, you have a chance to have a go at the controls of this very cool aircraft. Let’s see if you find it as responsive and agile as everyone says.
Back down on the ground, there'll be time to have a flight debrief with your pilot and take pictures of you standing proudly next to the aircraft. We don’t think you’ll forget the day you flew aerobatics in a Firefly out of Blackbushe easily, but you have to capture that post-flight grin on camera!
