What Can I Expect

Family quads Surrey - four-wheeled fun for all ages! With just one voucher, two adults and two children (aged between 10 and 15 years) get to go on a quad trek across the countryside, where big smiles are very much the order of the day!

This family-orientated experience takes place at a family-run activity centre near Redhill at Salfords. Although it's really close to Gatwick Airport and the M23 between Horley and Redhill, it's a little oasis of calm, with fields all around at this farm-based centre.

What better way of exploring a 270-acre farm than by quad bike? These miniature work-horses of the agricultural world are certainly useful, but above all they are just great fun to drive, which is why we're super pleased to bring you these family quad sessions in the Surrey countryside.

The grown ups get to drive either Kymco or Yamaha quads.  Both, being fully automatic, are super agile and easy to drive. The kids get the rather awesome Polaris ACEs to drive. They are youth-specific ATVs and they don't half shift. There's even a slight chance the big kids will be jealous of the little kids…

Your family experience takes the form of a guided trek, with one of the centre's instructors leading the way, as you weave your way around the farmland, ducking in and out of woodland trails, whizzing up and down long, straight paths for that speed-demon thrill and tackling some natural obstacles too.

Covering around five miles, expect to be out on the bikes for around 30-minutes. Of course, you won't just be let loose on a machine you've never ridden before. A short training session in the paddocks will make sure you've got the controls sussed, before you head off on the trek around the fields.

If you've got teenage kids who need dragging away from their telly/phone/video game (delete as appropriate), these just-for-family quad sessions in Surrey are a great way to get you all having fun together again in the great outdoors. Surely it's time you took off on a quad with the fam?

Availability

• Available Fridays to Saturdays between January - April
• Available Tuesdays to Saturdays between April - December
• Dates are subject to availability and weather conditions
• Participants should arrive 30 minutes before their session for registration

Suitable For

• Junior ATV: Suitable for ages 10-15
• Adult quads: Suitable for ages 16+
• Parental consent is required for under 18s
• Maximum weight 25 stone (165kg)
• A good general level of fitness is required, and you are required to sign a disclaimer

Spectators

• Spectators are welcome, although due to the nature of the activity viewing is limited

Anything Else

• Suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy closed-in footwear should be worn (no wellingtons)
• Arms and legs should be covered
• It is recommended that you bring spare clothes to change into (especially when wet) as you can get very muddy
• Onsite changing rooms are available to use
