What Can I Expect

Here it is, the world exclusive Jordan F1 experience at Hertfordshire's Bovingdon Circuit! Your chance to drive an actual Formula One racing car used by Team Jordan.

This very special experience revolves around the EJ12 series F1 car designed and built for Team Jordan, at a cost of over £4.5million. This actual car was put in the spotlight in Brussels at the launch to showcase the team's bright yellow DHL-sponsored livery.

A genuine, driveable F1 car is a very rare thing. Key original features include the seat belts, the OZ racing wheels, the body panels, the super-light carbon fibre monocoque and the seven-speed paddle shift transmission. Honda never sells the original engines, so this car is powered by a 3.0l Judd engine, which boasts 600bhp and up to 10,500rpm.

And we can tell you it is fast. Very fast. You are so unbelievably low to the ground in these things, that even just rolling gently out of the pit lane will feel like a whole different world of motoring. The hairs on the back of your neck will definitely stand up when you get to be in sole charge of the Jordan for 10 amazing laps of the circuit.

Before that, there's a whole lot of fun to be had learning race craft. All drivers get a safety and racing etiquette briefing. Then it's practical training out on the drift track with the very drift-able MX-5. This is where you'll undertake reflex training and learn how the smallest of steering wheel movements can get you in (or out of) a slide.

After a set of instructor-driven sighting laps out on the main Bomber B-17 circuit, it's time. Time to don the F1 race suit, slide into the cockpit of the Team Jordan car and drive. The pace car will be in front at all times, to make sure you drive that perfect racing line around the track and keep you safe. After all, you'll be out there on your own in this absolute pearl of a racing car!

Availability

• Experiences operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays
• The experience is generally operated during warmer months, March - October for the best conditions and experience
• Dates are subject to availability and weather conditions

Suitable For

• Strict height limit of 6ft 2ins for this experience
• Weight restrictions: maximum 14 stone / 88.9kg
• A full manual driving licence is required
• Participants must be physically fit with no serious health conditions

Spectators

• Spectators are welcome to watch the experience from an exclusive viewing area
• Complimentary tea and coffee is provided

Anything Else

• There is no Optional Damage Liability Waiver or cancellation indemnity available for these experiences
• A refundable security deposit of £1,000 must be paid via debit card or cash on arrival (credit card and bank tranfers are not accepted)
• Any participant entering a vehicle will be requested to complete a Disclaimer in order to participate in their experience
• Race boots are recommended, alternatively plimsolls must be worn which are provided free of charge (max shoe size UK12)
• Glasses must be worn if needed
• Refreshments and snacks are available to purchase onsite
• Rebooking within 14 days of your booking will incur a fee
