What Can I Expect
Attention all duos - this is the Couples Tank Challenge Tank Driving Experience in Leicestershire! The two of you will get to drive an FV432 tank, as well as firing the turret guns for double the fun.
Whether you're a couple, a pair of friends or two members of the same family, these challenge experiences are for you. There’s no need to have a driving licence either, so as long as you’re at least 16 years old and over 4ft you’re in!
The tank is a genuine ex-Army FV432. The FV bit means ‘fighting vehicle’ and typically, these fully-tracked beasts were used as armoured personnel carriers across warzones in hostile territories.
You’ll each drive two laps of the specially prepared tank course at this Leicestershire venue. One will be with the tank’s hatch open (easy you say!) and the next with the hatch closed and you using the periscope to navigate the terrain (definitely not so easy!).
After your stint at the controls, it’s time to prep the turret gun for some firing action. Don’t worry, there’s no live ammo, it will be giant paintballs getting fired. It’s great fun taking aim and firing - and quite a laugh too.
As a couples tank driving experience participant, you also get free access to the on-site military museum on the day of your experience, so you can have a really good nosey around the military vehicles in the impressive collection at this Leicestershire venue.

- Not suitable for customers who are pregnant or injuries to back or neck

- Spectators are welcome for a fee payable on the day, the tickets also includes FREE museum admission
- Passenger – Maximum of 1 passenger (8+ years old) may ride in the tank - fee applies, payable on the day
