What Can I Expect

See the Cotswold Lakes from the air on a helicopter tour! Touring some of the network of 180 lakes is a spectacular itinerary for a helicopter ride, with wonderful vistas from the moment you take off.

Your lake tour of the Cotswolds departs from Vowley Farm, located between Royal Wootton Bassett and Swindon. Rising gracefully into the air, you’ll see the neighbouring village of Ashton Keynes and the popular market town of Royal Wootton Bassett, before soaring for those aerial lake views.

Rich in wildlife, the freshwater Cotswold Lakes area includes several nature reserves and Sites of Scientific Interest. It’s also home to the UK’s largest in-land beach area, with water sports and activities for all ages.

You’ll be able to pick out the likes of Freeth Moore, Pikes Corner, Swillbrook Reserve, Howells Meere and Somerford from your helicopter viewpoint. And of course, you’ll spot the River Thames winding through the area too.

When Is It Available

• Typically flights take place at least one weekend day per month, with occasional weekdays from April to October
• Dates and flight times are subject to availability and weather conditions

• Under 12s must be accompanied by a participating adult 
• Over 12s may fly unaccompanied
• The operator reserves the right to remove any passenger if their behaviour is deemed unsafe or inappropriate
• Maximum height: 6ft 6ins (198cm)
• Maximum weight: 15 stone (95kg)*

Spectators

• Spectators are welcome to view take off and landing
• There is a cafeteria on site for refreshments for waiting guests

Anything Else

• Passengers must arrive 20 minutes prior to their flight time
• Tour routes can vary due to change due to weather conditions and air traffic control

• Flying activities have maximum weights (per seat) to ensure health and safety along with the comfort of fellow passengers
• You must enter passenger/participant weight at the time of booking an experience. If weight varies between the time of initial booking and date of flight experience it remains the responsibility of the customer to update their individual weight via their online account prior to flight
• All passengers will be weighed before flight and if disparity exists between weight disclosed and actual weight (within reason), the passenger may be eligible to fly
