What Can I Expect

Meet the birds of prey in North Somerset! We are offering a two-hour Owl Experience (this is the one the kids love most!), a 90-minute Birds of Prey session and a four-hour, more in-depth Falconry Experience.

This falconry centre and breeding facility is about an hour's drive from Bristol and near to Weston Super Mare. Apart from half a dozen open days each year, this place isn't normally open to the public, so these experiences are really rather special. You will get a fantastic insight into the work this non-profitable organisation does.

You're sure to fall in love with at least one of the residents of this North Somerset falconry centre. It's impossible not to. They are all stars of the show, but we have to admit, the likes of Nandita the cute as a button Indian Scops Owl is a firm favourite. At the other end of the wingspan scale there's Hercules the impressive and massive European Eagle Owl - he is truly magnificent, especially in flight.

Not all the raptors living at the centre are display birds. The organisation does a lot of important work treating and rehabilitating injured wild and rescue birds, as well as rehoming unwanted birds of prey. If you book on to the four-hour Falconry Experience you'll hear all about this role, as well as giving you a deeper insight into training and breeding birds.

Located within a garden centre and nursery between Weston-super-Mare and Bristol, this North Somerset birds of prey centre is a lovely place for all the family to visit.
