What Can I Expect

Just a stone's throw away from the quayside you'll find the Gin Room. It's in a pretty listed building amongst the cobbled narrow streets behind Barbican Road. It's a true hidden gem and you'll love it.

Your visit starts in the best way possible with a welcome gin and tonic whilst your masterclass hosts introduce themselves. You'll then hear about how gin is made and the history of this small-batch artisan distillery in the heart of Plymouth. And all this whilst you sip on your second G&T of the afternoon.

The Gin Room lab is where the magic happens. As you'll see for yourselves, the shelves are filled with bottles containing over 300 different types of gin and a whole raft of botanicals too. You'll also see the copper stills used to make that magic nectar. Not all gin is the same though and your host will talk and taste you through the three types of gin.

Now you know how it's made, it's time for you to concoct your very own gin blend. Will it be fruity and zesty? Woody and earthy? Or maybe spicy and warm? You have over 30 different aromas (the botanicals) to choose from to make your bespoke mix. Your personalised blend will be bottled, labelled and given to you.
