What's Included
- Enjoy an on-road passenger adventure in a 500BHP American Big Rig Truck
- Vehicles used are either Peterbilt or Kenworth trucks with manual gears
- Your adventure will take you through the local country lanes
- Opportunity to see planes at RAF Coningsbury depending on the route taken
- Passenger experiences last approximately 10-15 minutes
- Return to base and enjoy cake and a hot drink served by 'The Smokin Skoolie' School Bus
- Allow around one hour on site for this experience
What Can I Expect
An amazing American truck ride experience with a difference - you will be taken out for your big rig passenger ride on the public roads! Yep, you will be cruising the country lanes and rumbling along the open road in an iconic Peterbilt or Kenworth.
Whilst the B roads of Lincolnshire may be far-cry from the multi-lane highways of the US of A, having the chance to ride inside the cab on actual roads is just the best - and you certainly get the best view (let’s face it, you’ll tower over anything else on the road!).
You will 100% get admiring views and enthusiastic waves from anyone you meet along the way. It’s pretty hard not to notice these massive American trucks on the open road and as a passenger, you’ve gotta wave back!
The absolute pride and joy of owner Clive and his trucking team, these well-maintained and gloriously gleaming trucks are just so cool to be in.
Setting off from the yard, you’ll be taken on your passenger ride around the local area. Being in the heart of Lincolnshire these are quiet country roads that are perfect for a bit of truckin’ in a big rig.
And if you’re a fan of big-engined American trucks, the chances are you’ll like big-engined planes too, so if you happen to be trucking along at the moment a Eurofighter Typhoon takes off from nearby RAF Coningsby, it’ll be a delirious cacophony of power both on the road and in the air!
Back at base, you'll be invited for a hot drink and a slice of cake in the converted old school big yellow bus.
These very special on-road American truck ride experiences are only available out of Clive Shaw’s base in Lincolnshire, but we think you’ll agree, they are well worth travelling for.
