What Can I Expect
Get ready for the ride on this 4x4 family passenger thrill in Nottinghamshire! We are offering 30-minute passenger rides in a Land Rover at this outdoor centre between Mansfield and Newark - and everyone is invited!
With one voucher up to four of you to ride in the Landy. Children as young as six can go on their own (as long as there's someone over 18 who accompanies them on site), making these 4x4 rides out a great choice for a children's birthday party. They are also really popular with family groups and friends too.
Covering over 40-acres of Nottinghamshire countryside, Lockwell Hill Wood and the surrounding fields are the perfect backdrop for your ride in a 4x4. With lots of tracks and trails criss-crossing the site, it's one of the biggest in the Nottinghamshire area and there are also plenty of obstacles to be tackled.
Your expert driver will start you all off pretty gently. It's quite nice sitting high up in a Land Rover, as you get a really good view of everything. Just as you're thinking it's all quite calm and chilled being a passenger in a Land Rover, you hit the rutted track and you're being jostled and jolted. Suddenly there's a rather deep looking watersplash...and your Landy drives straight through it, water spraying up the sides. Cue whoops of delight from all onboard and off you go again, taking on the steepest steeps and the head-spinning drops, all successfully conquered by your driving host.
We're sure at some points during the trek you'll be thinking 'there's no way we can get through that' and 'we're going to tip over!' as your heart starts to beat that little bit faster...but of course, you make it through, with a hive five and a hurrah to your skilled driver. They're seriously good at this driving off road thing.
