What Can I Expect

Make no mistake, these are not video games…these kids flight simulator sessions are the real deal! We’ve collated the very best junior flight simulator experiences just for kids and created the ‘Sky Cadets’ programme for budding young pilots.

We have operators around the country offering junior flight simulator experiences. Many centres are certified for use by both private and commercial pilots in training, so opening the cockpit doors to youngsters is a real privilege.

And whilst your little one will never actually leave the ground, these kid-friendly sessions certainly give young aviators a thrilling experience. Children of all ages adore these flights of fantasy, making them a great gift to give.

The set ups are hugely realistic. Many simulators are faithful replicas of the real thing - and some are even built around actual, genuine cockpits!

From the big, commercial jet airliners, to vintage classics and jet fighters, there’s something to whet the appetite of every junior flying fan in this virtual world of simulated flight.

Minimum ages vary according to the type of aircraft simulator on offer, but these sky cadet sessions can be suitable for kids as young as 5 years, with more complex simulators such as the Delfin Fighter Jet requiring kids to be at least 14 years old.

So if you have a child who loves playing with planes, or know a teen who dreams of being a fighter pilot, these kids' flight simulator experiences will put youngsters firmly in the Captain’s seat for the duration!

When Is It Available

• Weekdays and weekends throughout the year (unless specified)
• Dates and session times are subject to availability at your chosen venue
• Morning and afternoon sessions are generally available

• Newcastle-upon-Tyne  Brunswick -  Mondays to Fridays throughout the year. Weekends are available for an additional charge payable directly when booking your date.
• Gloucestershire   Staverton - Redbird MCX Full Motion Available Saturdays and Sundays and occasional weekdays upon request

Suitable For

• All juniors must be accompanied by one adult aged 18+
• Minimum height 5ft
• Participants will require a degree of mobility

Spectators

• All juniors must be accompanied by one adult aged 18+
• Depending on the simulators some venues allow additional guests to join you for the experience
