What Can I Expect

Retro motoring from across the pond on an American classic car blast experience! Take three of the most iconic US motors, put them on an English track and you've got yourself a triple-car spectacular worthy of our transatlantic cousins.

From the country that brought us hot rods, pony cars and rodeos, the Shelby Mustang, the Ford GT40 and the Shelby Cobra are stand out examples of the American car industry of yesteryear. Big, bold and brash, you can see (and hear) these cars coming from miles away - and they're sure to turn heads on these track days.

You will be invited up to drive all three of these iconic cars for three miles each. Seated up front with you in the passenger seat will be an expert driving instructor, who'll help you get the most out of these Goliaths of the motoring world.

The Shelby Mustang GT500 is just like Eleanor from the original ‘Gone in 60 Seconds' film. It's proper 1970s flared jeans, big hair and leather-patches-on-your-jacket style. It's big, imposing and pretty loud too. We think you'll love it.

The replica Shelby Cobra is a bit different. The original hot rod was a dual project between AC in the UK and Shelby in the USA. The result was a powerhouse of a car with a 7l (yes, seven litres, you did read that right!) V8 engine. It is SO loud, you'll have an absolute blast in this one!

Notching up all the style points is the Ford GT40. This one has been liveried up just like one of the most famous American classic racing cars ever; the Gulf Oil GT40 that won Le Mans in 1966. At a time when Beatlemania had hit the US, miniskirts were in fashion and pudding-bowl haircuts were all the rage, this sleek, slick and very fast car was quite the revelation. Driving this replica is a true delight.

This American classic car blast is available at a selection of tracks around the UK. You get to drive each car for around three miles, so you've got plenty of time to get used to driving these dashing and audacious cars.
