What Can I Expect
Take part in a three-day bushcraft course in East Sussex! These comprehensive, adults-only workshops will show you how to thrive and not just survive in the great outdoors.
Your host is ex military man Phil. He knows a thing or two when it comes to outdoor adventures. The idea behind these courses is to make outdoor life and adventure safe and enjoyable for you.
Throughout your three days in this East Sussex forest, you'll be (as leader Phil says) ‘delving deep into the fundamentals of bushcraft'. There's lots to learn. From making the most of the materials in the forest to fabricate a shelter, to fashioning and sharpening tools to use.
Of course, the core mission is to make sure you have shelter, food and water. With Phil guiding you, you'll get an in-depth grasp of just how quickly and well you can adapt to outdoor living. It's not just survival mode, it's a lot more fun!
We loved fire making, knot and rope work, foraging for food and the stuff we'd never even considered about, including dealing with both cold and heat. It's fascinating, hands-on and, ultimately, very useful.
These three-day East Sussex bushcraft courses run from Friday to Sunday. You are welcome to arrive and camp the night before, so you're ready for your first bushcraft workshop on the Friday morning. By the time you leave on Sunday, you'll be fully trained up in outdoor survival skills!
