What Can I Expect
Cardiff Sightseeing Tours! Take to the skies for a thrilling new look at the Welsh capital and its beautiful surroundings.
Your journey begins at the helipad where you’ll meet the friendly ground crew and your professional pilot. After a short safety briefing, it’s time to step out to the executive Bell 206 JetRanger for the moment you’ve been waiting for. As the rotors gather speed and you lift smoothly into the air, the South Wales landscape begins to unfold beneath you. Depending on your chosen flight duration, you could be tracing the dramatic coastline of the Severn Estuary or heading straight for the city’s heart.
The 10-minute flight is a fantastic introduction to rotary flight, offering 18 miles of breathtaking scenery including the iconic Cardiff skyline. It is the perfect choice for those who want a quick whizz over the key landmarks of the bay.
If you opt for the 20-minute tour, you’ll cover 34 miles and get a spectacular bird’s-eye view of the world-famous Millennium Stadium. Seeing the 74,500-seater stadium from above is a moment you won’t soon forget.
For the ultimate experience, the 30-minute "Castles Tour" spans approximately 50 miles of incredible Welsh territory. This extended route allows you to spot historic landmarks like Cardiff Castle, known locally as Castell Caerdydd, with its unique medieval keep and baileys.
Throughout the flight, your pilot will use the onboard headset system to point out landmarks and share fascinating stories about the area. Keep your eyes peeled for Barry Island, the famous filming location for hit TV shows, and the rugged beauty of Lavernock Point.
