Doesn't a London tour just mean a open top bus ride in the rain?
When you think of a London tour you might indeed think of those London hop-on, hop-off open top bus tours. We've got that, and much, much more. We've curated a collection of tours that'll show you the best bits of the capital in a fun and unusual way whatever the weather. From a chocolate treasure hunt and a Winston Churchill walking tour, to zipping around the capital in a classic Mini, all these tours are themed to show another side to London beyond all the main sights.
Are all tours guided?
It depends on the type of tour your are going on. Boat tours out on the water are usually commentated, walking tours are hosted by a guide and for things like visiting the Shard, there are audio tours and lots of interactive devices that give you all the info you need on the history and what you can see where
Do you offer walking tours of London?
Yes we do. Walking tours are our most popular London tour experiences. From feedback you send us, we know you love the fact that the guides are all really entertaining, easy to listen to and full of fascinating facts and anecdotes. From history to myths, legends and popular culture, there's bound to be a walking tour to interest you.
How far will I have to walk?
Not all of our London tours are on foot, but for the ones that are, it's all done at a very leisurely pace. There are plenty of stop offs for interesting anecdotes and for you to take photos. Tours last around two to three hours, with a few miles of walking so you will need to able to comfortable with walking.
I hate the Underground. Do these tours use the Tube?
A couple of the walking tours do include a short ride on the London Underground (so you will need to buy a ticket or have an Oyster card for this). Please read each itinerary carefully to see if a tube ride is necessary. You can always contact us at Into The Blue by email, 'phone or online chat if you need to know anything more.
What tour would you suggest for a first visit to London?
Nothing can beat your classic bus tour on a vintage Routemaster double decker bus. These legendary buses pounded the streets of the West End and the City for decades. Our other 'must do' is taking in the sights from the water. We've got London tours on the Thames in a variety of vessels for you, from cruise boats to powerboats.
I've done all the usual sights, what tour or activity would you suggest for me?
Have you climbed up and over the 02 Arena? This is about as mad as it gets and you get to see London from a whole new angle, as you scale the actual roof of the actual 02 Arena! Other than that, we've got tours of London on bikes, chocolate themed London walks and even tours that lift the lid on the British justice system with visits to the Old Bailey.
Can you do more than one tour in a day?
Yes, why not! If you allow yourself enough time, you could do a Shard visit in the morning (with a timed ticket) and then head off on a leisurely walking tour, as most of them depart in the afternoons. And there might still be time for some shopping and a nice dinner out too, which we can also help with - have a look at our Dining Experiences vouchers.
Are there London tours suitable for people with disabilities?
Details on accessibility are included under the 'Suitable for' tab on each product page. Some tours may not be fully accessible, for example due to the nature of the tour or the mode of transport involved. Please contact us at Into The Blue if you need any more information.
I want to learn something about London - what have you got?
There is indeed so much more to London that just photogenic landmarks - there's a whole load of history too. Lots of our tours delve into all that, with everything from the murkiness world of the criminal underground with the Kray twins, to exploring where Churchill made his war plans in an underground control centre in the heart of London. Have a browse and see which tour tickles your fancy!
Are these London tours suitable for families with kids?
Most tours are suitable for older children, but be careful to check the minimum age requirements on each tour page, as some may not be suitable for children. In general, walking tours aren't suitable for babies and very young children in pushchairs.
Do you have any tours on the Thames?
