The Ford Fiesta ST is a full group N really spec car that is currently on the starting line of many a rally championship around the world. Many of the country's young and ambitious rally drivers cut their rally driving teeth with the Fiesta ST, competing in the Ford Fiesta SportTrophy. Apart from the huge 17" wheels, the body kit, the Recaro seats and the fancy paint job, it could be a normal Fiesta, but then the 1999cc engine and the 163bhp tells you that this little front wheel drive car is a serious rally contender that's great fun to drive.
The purpose-built rally stage at Silverstone is a far cry from the slick tarmac track. This experience is all about getting the dust and gravel flying as you go hard on the brakes into the tight corners and accelerate confidently along the straight sections. It's intense, requires loads of concentration and will probably see you holding your breathe in your bucket seat on more than one occasion!
All Silverstone circuit rallying sessions start with a 20 minute briefing so you can get a feel of the layout of the circuit you'll be driving. Once ready, it's time to hop in the car and get harnessed up before you head out of the vehicle holding area and out onto the special stage proper. If you're on the 'Rally Thrill' you'll have 12 hair raising minutes of rally fun and if you opt for the 'Rally Experience' you'll get two sessions in the car whizzing around on the loose rally surface stage, as well as a high speed passenger ride to round off your experience.
