What Can I Expect

A Silverstone Rally School experience is the perfect way to rev up the rally spirit in motorsports fans everywhere. We are offering quick-blast taster sessions, as well as longer half and full-day workshops for you to hone your rally skills on this proper gravel rally stage at Silverstone.

Each rally session calls on a fleet of rally-specification Subaru Imprezas. All vehicles are maintained and prepared by a team of in-house mechanics. The cars are all set up as rear wheel drive and the body shells have been strengthened and roll cages fitted. That means you can give it your all, as you throw the car into that hair pin and get it sideways around the long, open corners.

For an introduction into the high-octane world of motorsport, we think the Rally Stage 1 taster session is a great debut for first timers at Silverstone Rally School. You'll hone your left-hand handbrake turns and power slides, before being invited to tackle the loose surface rally stage in full.

The Stage 2 half day package offers an extended experience, so you have double the drive time. After those initial training sessions in left-hand handbrake turns and then power slides, you get to experience those techniques to the right-hand, before you head for the special gravel stage like a proper rally driver for 3 full laps .

On the Rally Stage 3 full day experiences you get loads of drive time to learn power sliding and handbrake turning on both left and right-handers. You will also be shown how to make pace notes (essential for any proper rally driver!). With this full-set of rally skills you then head off to conquer the loose gravel stage with your instructor-turned-navigator reading your own pace notes.

The tuition at Silverstone Rally School, which has been operating since 1982, is of an exceptional standard. All the instructors are Motorsport UK licensed, with plenty of rallying experience under their belts and Silverstone Rally School is a member of the British Association of Rally Schools, which itself is recognised and approved by MS UK. A great place to start rallying, which is right opposite one of the most famous circuits in the country!

Availability

• Available on most Fridays and Saturdays, subject to availability (and occasional weekdays)

Suitable For

• A valid UK driving licence will need to be shown on the day
• Maximum height is 1.98m
• Maximum weight is 115kg

Spectators

• Spectators are very welcome to watch, there are indoor and outdoor viewing areas with great views of the action
• There is a small café serving teas, coffees and lunches

Anything Else

• Drivers and guests can add a high speed passenger ride for £40 (payable direct when booking or book in on the day subject to availability)
