With a full range of lesson options available, we like the look of the unique half day flying voucher, which offers you the chance to fly in a two-seat Cessna 152 plane to a neighbouring airport where you'll land, enjoy a lunch and chat with your instructor pilot and then have the pleasure of a second take off and landing as you fly back to Blackpool airport. You can also choose a 30 or 60 minute flight in the Cessna, or you can opt for a 60 minute flight in a Piper PA28 with four seats.
On all of these flights you will get to see a slice of the classic British seaside from the air, including the famous Golden Mile, Pleasure Beach and Blackpool Tower. As well as spotting the sights from the air, you will actually learn what it's like to fly a plane and, being a modern dual-controlled light aircraft, you'll find the challenge of having a go at flying fun and informative under the guidance of your fully-qualified instructor pilot.

All flight experiences begin with a welcome and lesson briefing. You will have the chance to take the controls yourself, usually flying the aircraft for the majority of the flight. Half day experiences include 2x 60 minute flights with a journey to another airfield where you'll land and have a meal (included in price) before the return flight to Blackpool. On 4 seater flights the pilot will usually allow you to take an interested friend or relative to observe the lesson from the rear seats.
Flights from Blackpool lift off on most weekdays and weekend, weather permitting.

Friends and family are welcome to come and watch the flights. There is an excellent lounge and bar on-site, open between 9.00am and 10.30pm 7 days a week. Hot and cold food is available to order through the day.
