Stapleford Airfield (ICAO code EGSG) is a family-run, small airfield within the M25 in the Epping Forest area. Opened as Essex Aerodrome in 1933 offering charter flights to Europe and following a stint as RAF Stapleford Tawney during WW2, the airfield is popular with pilots wanting to learn to fly near to central London, with easy access from J27 of the M25/M11.
