What Can I Expect

Officially known as 'Wicked - The Untold Story of the Witches of Oz', you’ll find out what really happened in Oz. This all singing, all dancing show fits cleverly into the original storyline of the Wizard of Oz and offers a captivating show for all ages to enjoy, which first opened at London’s Apollo Victoria Theatre in 2006.

Adapted from the 1995 Gregory Maguire novel, Wicked's props, special effects and lighting are used to great effect. Ticket holders will see, as soon as they walk into the Art Deco auditorium, that they are about to enter into a wickedly magical world of song and story. The impressive stage set includes what looks like a very large bat looming over the front of the stage looking right at you!

The superbly talented cast and live orchestra really bring the show alive. You meet the main characters in Oz, namely the green skinned 'Wicked Witch' Elphaba, her wheelchair-bound sister Nessarose and fellow student at Shiz University, Glinda. And believe us, there is no love lost between them!

As you might expect from a big stage production, there are lots of songs to enjoy during the performance, from the pensive 'I'm not that girl' and the wishful 'The wizard and I' to the bitter 'No good deed' and the showstopper all-cast extravaganza that is 'Defying gravity'.

As well as your tickets to see Wicked, your voucher also includes afternoon tea in The Tea Lounge at The Clermont Hotel Victoria. This decadent Grade II listed 19th century hotel is the perfect spot for a sumptuous platter of High Tea treats. And as an official theatre partner, the tea is Wicked-themed!
