What Can I Expect

A fab truck driving experience in Kent! Your chance to drive an HGV at a truck training park near Sandwich, on a 45 or 60-minute session hosted by a professional driving instructor.

You will be a guest of this commercial vehicle driving training school in Kent. They teach new lorry drivers to get their licence here and the setup is all geared towards learning to drive lorries and other larger vehicles, in a completely safe space.

This school uses the very best in trucks. Your lesson experience will be in a swanky Mercedes Actros truck and trailer. The Mercs are the ‘trucks you can trust'; reliable with a well-equipped cab. As well as being fully automatic, there are loads of driver-aids onboard too - we love the one-touch indicators, for example!

You'll have plenty of time to discover what it's like being a Mercedes truckie. You'll spend 20-minutes driving around and then have around another 25-minutes to get to grips with some classic HGV manoeuvres.

For example, reversing your trailer is a daily task in the busy trucking world - but it's not as easy as it looks. You will also learn how to hook up and un-hook your trailer, once again this is something that commercial lorry drivers do regularly. It's fascinating stuff.

If you go for the 60-minute extended voucher, you get another 15-minutes as a trucker's mate. You'll be going for a ride out in proper trucker style on the public roads in the area around this truck park between Ebbsfleet and Sandwich.
