What Can I Expect

A trip to a London theatre and afternoon tea! This most civilised of days out gives the two you tickets to a top West End show, preceded by a yummy afternoon tea in quite an unusual location - the Great Court of the British Museum!

As you'll be going to an evening performance at the theatre, you'll be heading for your afternoon tea beforehand. And what a location to sip freshly brewed tea and nibble delicate cakes. The British Museum is a truly wonderful place. And the Great Court cafe is right in the heart of it all.

Big, airy and with really high ceilings, the court brings the outside in, with conservatory-style furniture and tables surrounded by indoor trees. The cakes and sweet treats are delicious, as is the coffee. You can even add a little sparkle to your tea with a Prosecco upgrade.

Do make sure you factor in time to visit the museum. Entry to the permanent exhibitions is free and it's an incredible journey into ancient civilisations. From Mummies and ancient gold artefacts, to the priceless Rosetta Stone (the granite tablet carved with a decree dating back to 196BC which has helped us decipher the Egyptian hieroglyphics) - everything is mind-blowing!

And don't even get us started on the amazing glass atrium at the main entrance area. Every single piece of glass is a different shape and size. You could spend a good 20-minutes just gazing at that!

It's time then to swap ancient culture for pop culture, when you head back into WC1 for your chosen West End show. There are loads of top productions to choose from.
