What Can I Expect

The Liquor Studio in Leeds is cool. End of. That's why we're inviting you there for a tasting session where you'll laugh a lot, learn a lot and taste a lot too. You've got to be 18 for this one and we advise booking a taxi home!

Founders Jon and Dan describe the Liquor Studio as: ‘Yorkshire's first and only spirit school and creative drink space'. It's the culmination of a lot of experience in the hospitality industry and having the passion to take the bar experience a step further, creating a veritable laboratory of spirits.

You can take part in a gin tasting, a whisky tasting or a rum tasting at this Leeds spirit HQ. All sessions in the studio are hosted by gin, whisky and rum experts. They're all super skilled when it comes to spirits. They know the history, the origins of each brand and just how to pour the perfect drink, with or without mixers.

You will be tasting five spirits. If you go for the whisky, it'll be a tour of the Highlands and beyond, seeing how different Scottish regions produce very different whiskies. For gin fans, it's all about the gins and the mixers working together to create fantastic flavours.

And if rum is your thing, you'll go island-hopping around the Caribbean, tasting samples of what is the world's oldest commercially produced spirit.
