What Can I Expect

The ‘Seed to bouquet' experience - filled with flowers and fragrances! Spend the day with the horticultural team in Raymond Blanc's glorious gardens at his Michelin-starred Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons in Oxfordshire.

We love, love, love this experience. It's in such a wonderful setting. Creating the kitchen gardens and extensive heritage orchards was the first thing renowned chef Raymond Blanc did when he arrived at Le Manoir in 1984.

As you might expect for a famous restaurateur, the gardens are filled with vegetables, herbs and fruits. What might surprise you, is the passion and dedication that also goes into growing flowers. The blooms are made into stunning displays, which adorn the restaurant and the hotel.

This course will let you into the whole flower-growing process, from selecting and planting seeds, to cutting the flowers and then arranging them - hence the name ‘Seed to Bouquet'!

And we have to say, the itinerary for your day is a delight. It's all very convivial and relaxed, with plenty of time for coffee breaks, lunch in the lovely glasshouse and even a little afternoon teatime cake treat.

As a small group of like-minded people, you will love getting to know the Manoir gardens. It's clear your hosts, despite having 11 gardens and over 2500 fruit trees to look after, absolutely love their jobs. Nothing beats the satisfaction of seeing the seeds you sowed and nurtured, grow into colourful blooms.

You will be privy to all the top tips and clever little ideas the gardeners use to make sure you get the best blooms. You even have time to try your hand at a little floristry, making a hand-tied bouquet out of the freshly cut flowers you pick. And of course, you take that home with you.

A really lovely present to give, these unique ‘Seed to Bouquet' experiences at Le Manoir are hugely popular, so buy your voucher now and get booked in!
