What Can I Expect

See the Nutcracker Ballet, enjoy a private tour of the London Coliseum theatre and attend a pre-show reception - all in an evening during the the festive run up to Christmas! 

These wonderful experiences will only run for two days in December; on Wednesday the 17th and Saturday 20th, the perfect pre-Christmas treat watching the English National Ballet and getting a guided tour around this magnificent venue.

You'll discover that the London Coliseum on St Martin's Lane in Westminster is the capital's largest capacity theatre with 2,359 seats. This opulent and highly decorative venue first opened in 1904, with the ambitious aim of being ‘the people's palace for entertainment'.

Today, it is the London home of the English National Ballet. And what could be more special than seeing the ENB perform The Nutcracker just before Christmas? It's a charming tale of young Clara and her magical Christmas Eve visit to the Land of Sweets and Delights…

And of course, the score is by Tchaikovsky. Performed live by the English National Ballet's Philharmonic Orchestra, the music will enthral and delight, with many well known musical passages you'll recognise!

Before you take to your seats for the performance, you will be cordially invited to the Royal Retiring Room above the auditorium for your festive drinks and food reception.
