What Can I Expect
Visit Glastonbury and Cheddar Gorge on a day trip from London! These full-day, guided trips by coach will show you all the magical sights and landmarks around Cheddar and Glastonbury.
Tours run between April and September, setting off from various pick up points around central London, with return travel by air conditioned coach. The trips are hosted by a knowledgeable guide, who will look after you for the day.
Glastonbury, as well as being the name of the famous music festival Glastonbury, is a town in its own right. A visit to the mysterious monastery ruins is a must and a guided tour is included with this package. You’ll hear tales of King Arthur and his Queen Guinevere in this spiritual setting that dates back to the 7th Century.
If you fancy it, you can then hike up to Glastonbury Tor, the mystic tower at the top of the hill with 360-degree views overlooking the flat lands around Glastonbury. It’s a pretty amazing place that’s steeped in history - and you can see (and feel) why when you’re up there!
The afternoon is spent exploring Cheddar town (yes, as in cheese!) as well as Cheddar Gorge, the deep limestone ravines that wind around the gently flowing River Yeo, with hilltop trails and underground caves galore. It is Mother Nature at her best!
